Equity warriors address the vestiges of systemic bias, advance equity, and raise the achievement of all students. We advance equity by acknowledging and understanding the complexity of existing structures and systems and using structures and systems as tools we can leverage to achieve our goals. Equity warriors have the courage to name the problem and confidently stand up for their beliefs; the perseverance to stay the course through certain opposition when challenging the status quo; and the will to use their resources and act on their beliefs.
